The Basics.
Because intimate details of my personal life, feelings, and thoughts will be submerged into the creation of this site, I will spare the small talk and insignificant facts about myself. Hopefully, through the use of this site, you are able to learn that there is much more to a person than their age, location, and current status. These aspects hold no importance in regards to what I hope to expose through my open expression - so, I will be leaving mine as mostly unknown.

Who I am.
I could spend hours trying to find the words to describe the incredible detail of my being in order to give you a better understanding of who I am, but I find bits and pieces of myself that I didn't know existed every day. A significant aspect of the trouble of remaining stagnant is cultivating the idea that you already know exactly who you are; that there is no need to look any further. I aspire to never become stagnant, and with this comes the admittance that I am still a work in progress. While I may know certain aspects about myself - I'm open minded, I enjoy freeing moments, and I'm family/relationship oriented - I am still learning and I am still growing. The journey of finding yourself and becoming who you are is everlasting, so I don't ever plan to view myself as complete.
With that being said, I do hope that through this site you are able to learn more about me and who I am, or at least who I am for now.

Why I'm here.
As stated on the home page of my site, I find that the best way to gather your thoughts and feelings is through some form of open expression. There are days that I cannot explain what I am feeling out loud, and I know this to be true for the majority of people. When we try to speak on our feelings, we can sometimes become so overwhelmed that we over analyze how we are going to say what is on our minds. Ultimately, this overwhelming analyzation acts as a barrier to successfully expressing our true thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, when I turn to the open expression of writing, there is no planning or over analyzation involved. I do not sit down with an outline of what I'm going to say, or worry about how it's going to sound once it's finished. Usually, it amounts to a free flow of thoughts that I didn't know existed.
Essentially, writing acts as an aid in terms of getting to the bottom of any mental state that I may be in, and it allows me to reflect on what emotions and situations may have led to the words looking back at me. It acts as a form of liberation in my life, because there is no right or wrong way of writing. It is completely and utterly yours in its nature. No one can tell you it's wrong, and no one can take it from you. That is the beauty of it.
To put it simply, I would like for this site to become a constructive form of self-reflection and release. I hope that through me creating a way to learn more about myself, that I'm able to inspire others to find the courage to open up to their minds and hearts as well. Find your way of open expression, embrace it, and let it teach you all of the things you've yet to find out about yourself.
